Emerging Engineering Leaders Development Program (with College of Engineering)Program to provide civil and environmental engineering undergraduates with an opportunity to explore and develop leadership skills necessary for success as a professional.

The Emerging Engineering Leaders Development (EELD) program, designed by Fanning faculty, is a pilot program to support the Capstone Senior Design courses in UGA’s College of Engineering. The goal of the eight-session EELD program is to provide students with an opportunity to explore and develop leadership skills necessary for success as a professional.

Students in the EELD program engage in eight classroom sessions (five during fall semester and three during spring semester led by the Fanning Institute. These eight sessions are supported by real-world application through the capstone project, reflection activities built into the class online learning environment, and other class sessions led by instructors from the College of Engineering.
